Schoolboy hacker Omar Khan who upped his grades faces 38 years in jail
It could be a long time before Omar Khan goes to college: as long as 38 years, according to Orange County prosecutors, who have arrested and charged the 18-year-old student with breaking into his prestigious high school and hacking into computers to change his test grades from Fs to As.
Well yes...he's been a naughty boy...
...but thirty eight years - child molesters get less!!!
Am I the only one that feels a sneaking sense of admiration for him?
Wouldn't a few week's detention be more appropriate?
And I'm thinking - he allegedly did this because he failed to get a place at college.
There must be a few universities that have some places on their computing courses still free...I'm guessing he could be a straight A student...
..and when he gets his degree (and remembering the level of expertise of the IT departments in school where I taught.)
...give him a job at his old school...perhaps Head of Department!
crime education I.T.

Unfortunately he has a foreign sounding name, so that and the ultimate crime of being tenacious fits the terrorist profile.
Ironic that someone with those abilities failed their grade in the first place.
Yes...it was noticeable how, in a number of other articles/blogs he was "Muslim, Omar Khan, 18...." and so on...
